As a registered nurse, Mary leads CMC Healthcare’s clinical compliance and training services. She has nearly 17 years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care, specifically, geriatric, pediatric, cardiac and medical-surgical nursing, along with home health care. She began her career in healthcare by working as a certified nurse assistant in nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. This was an eye-opening experience which shed light on the lack of adequate care for impoverished and immigrant communities. As a first-generation American, Mary was compelled even more to help bridge the gap in health care delivery by providing optimal patient care with dignity and respect. To answer the charge, she opened Divine Home Health care in February 2009, where she serves as the Director of Nursing and employs more than 200 staff members ranging from nurses, therapists and home health aides. While in the home health care setting, Mary has also worked in the capacity of an Administrator and a Case Manager. Her current role as a home health care consultant ensures that she helps her clients achieve accreditation, maintain compliance with federal, state and local laws and assists them with adopting best practices.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from Ohio State University. She is a certified CPR instructor and Medication Administration Trainer.
